VNA Plus WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY
Visiting Nurse Association of Southwestern Indiana, Inc. (heretofore referred to as “VNA Plus”) appreciates your interest in our website (“Site”) and is committed to protecting your privacy. We encourage you to review this Policy before using our Site. By using this Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website. This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.
How You May Use This Site
VNA Plus makes a reasonable effort to keep the information on the Site accurate and current. You may view, download and forward materials on this Site for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to copy, reproduce, transmit, distribute, publish, commercially exploit or create derivative works of this Site or assist or facilitate any third party to do so, except for personal use by individuals or for non-commercial use. You may view this Site without providing any personal information.
Types of Information Collected
VNA Plus collects both personal information and aggregate information. Personal information refers to information such as name, address, e-mail address and credit card number; and is collected only when you voluntarily submit such information.
To help us improve content and enhance your experience on our Site, we also collect aggregate information. This gives us data regarding how many people visit the Site, how long they interact with the Site, what pages they view and other commonly used analytics that do not identify an individual specifically. VNA Plus does not use cookies. The Site does use pixel tags in HTML-formatted e-mail messages (such as our online newsletter) to track if and when the message is opened and any links that are clicked. Our web host does not collect or share information from client websites; and passwords for managing client website content are stored on a password protected server and are accessible only by authorized personnel.
Employment Application Submission
VNA Plus strives to protect the personal information submitted via our online employment application. Certain security measures, such as encryption and restricted access, are in place to aid in the protection of the information submitted. If you provide details of a reference or any third party as part of your application, it is your responsibility to obtain the consent of the third party prior to submitting their personal information.
You are responsible for the content of the information you give the Agency. As part of completing the application for employment, you will be asked to certify that the information you provide is true and complete. False or misleading statements or material omission are cause for refusal to hire or separation of employment, if employed.
Online Donation Submission
A feature of this Site enables online credit card transactions for the purpose of donating to VNA Plus. We incorporate a variety of security measures to safeguard the privacy of these transactions. The Agency utilizes German American Bank to process its online transactions and participates in Authorize.net Credit Card Processing to further ensure the security of transactions. Shortly after a donation is processed, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail; you are advised to print and save a copy of the confirmation for future reference. As required by law, following a transaction, your private information is not stored on our servers.
You are not required to use the online feature to make a donation. If you choose to utilize this feature, specific information will be required in order to process the transaction. By providing such information, you represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and that you possess the legal authority to enter into the conditions of use for the Site, including allowing VNA Plus or its authorized vendors to collect payment from a credit card.
Sharing Personal Information
We encourage Site visitors to contact us for general inquiries and online referrals. Personal information you voluntarily submit may be used in order to respond to you.
We work with third party vendors that provide services such as website hosting, data analysis and newsletter distribution. Your personal information may be shared with these third parties for the express purpose of enabling them to provide these services.
Other than as detailed in this policy, VNA Plus does not sell, transfer or disclose personal information to third parties.
VNA Plus reserves the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to protect the integrity of the Site, or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation of a public safety manner.
For Parents
We understand and follow our obligations under the Children’s Online Privacy Act concerning the collection of personal information from individuals under the age of thirteen (13). This Site is not directed toward children and we request that children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 18 for credit card transactions) not submit personal information to this Site.
